How to Build and Fly Catapult and Tip Launch Gliders

It gives me great pleasure announce the latest DVD “How to Build and Fly Catapult and Tip Launch Gliders” produced by the National Free Flight Society Foundation. This 60 minute DVD is a do-it-yourself instructional product which introduces the experienced modeler into the world of Catapult and Tip Launch Glider. With narration by NFFS Hall of Fame members Bob Stalick and Tim Batiuk, the DVD takes you from building your own models through trimming and competing with them. Tim Batiuk, many time AMA glider record holder, give you inside advice on picking thermals and getting successful flights.
The video was made possible by a generous donation to the NFFS Foundation Video Fund by Bill Vanderbeek. The model kits used in the presentation were contributed by master kit maker and glider flier Stan Buddenbohm. Scenes from the video were shot in Bob Stalick’s shop by Jack Shafer and at the 2012 Nationals by Alan Abriss. Abriss was also the editor of the final product. If anyone is interested in either catapult or tip launch glider, this video is well worth the price of $15 per copy plus shipping.
The video is available online at http://www.freeflight.org/shopping/productDetail.php?id=1441 and can be purchased using a credit card. Sales by check are also available by sending $15 plus $3 shipping (in the US) to: NFFS Publications Services, PO Box 1775, Albany, OR 97321.
The NFFS Foundation wishes to thank both Bill Vanderbeek and Stan Buddenbohm for their generosity. Anyone interested in contributing to either the Video Fund or the indoor Site fund should contact the NFFS Foundation for further information on how to make a tax deductible contribution to these worthwhile causes.
