NATIONAL MODEL AVIATION PROGRAM AWARDS & SCORES

Performance Award Merits (PAMs) are awarded to NFFS members throughout a flier’s career for accomplishments in modeling on a yearly basis. Each participant's accumulated PAMs are listed under their respective instructor (example below). PAMs accumulated during the calendar year may be redeemed in the form of a travel grant to attend the AMA Nationals, held at AMA Headquarters in Muncie, Indiana each summer. The award amount varies from year-to-year depending on available funds and the number of participants redeeming points. In 2005, eligible NFFS members were awarded travel grants that ranged from $25 to $250.

The goals and objectives of the program are to encourage eligible NFFS members to fly in sanctioned contests. Points are accumulated through competitions in either the America’s Cup or National Cup contests. Detailed schedules are posted in the NFFS website under “Competitions.” You do not have to do anything to be awarded points, NFFS tallies points based on contest performance. Each participant's accumulated PAMs are recorded and reported to the NMAP Coordinator.
