Wood dimension/scaling chart?

Is there a Chart, or graph, or a "Rule-of-thumb" for scaling wood sizes when enlarging, or reducing FF Plans? I know it's not a straight, linear conversion. (At least, I think I know that....). I have enlarged a set of T-Bird 150% plans (528 sq. in.) up to a 1000 sq. in. wing, 81.3 in w.s. A set of plans is great fun to spread out on the bench, or all over the shop, at this size, but basically, it's just a paper "tool", to hang your own engineering on. Ron Bennet is going to send me a set of Viking 900 plans, re-engineered from Viking FAI plans. That will get me in the right ballpark. I still would like to have any wood dimension/scaling information you can provide, or steer me to. Thanks, guys-

What I do when scaling most of the time is go the the next larger size... i.e. for a wing that used a spar of 1/4"x3/8" when scaled may show up like 11/32x just over 1/2", I'd go to a peice of 3/8"x1/2" or maybe 3/8"x5/8". Sometimes you may need to reference other plans of simular size and use those wood dimensions. I find usually the trailing edge to be the biggest change, I realize the the trailing edge is just along for the ride, so I use what I feel to be a suitable size.
