F1C bunt systems

Postby sblake » Fri Oct 30, 2009 10:44 am

Greetings everyone:
After 30-plus years of building and competing with AMA gas models I am building my first ever -- if one doesn't count an aborted effort about 20 years ago -- F1C gas model. Does anyone have a design for a simple reliable bunt system?

The best systems now in use are the Ukraine/Russian scissors/post style- These use a scissors that holds the post positively up. I bought a few of them and I seem to recall it was in the 30-40 dollar range- I even found them on ebay. I know you could contact Verbitsky or Vasily and get some- The quality is top notch and even cheap me wouldn't take the time to make them- better to buy it and be done!

Bunt mechanism

Greetings all:
I finally managed to track down a bunt mechanism. They are not so easy to get and the Polish ones that Mike Woodhouse used to offer are no longer available. However, Vasily Beshasny can get them: He says "Nobody likes to make them - too much pain in the neck." The price was $55 plus $10 for shipping...
