Free Flight Friends,

In June this year were some fine Free Flight competitions at our
field in Wawayanda, NY.  The first was the Hatschek International Challenge
(previously known as the Skyscraper International Challenge, now renamed in honor of
Bob Hatschek), which was ultimately held June 8-9, 2013 (sanction number
13-1758). The second was the Skyscraper Annual held June 22-23, 2013 (sanction
13-1416).

A highlight of these meets was continued dominance by our young adult
and youth flyers, plus some older flyers newly returned to the sport in recent
years or  new to flying at Wawayanda.

At the Hatschek Challenge, F1B was won by Brian Pacelli finishing with a
score of 1306 seconds, just two seconds ahead of Carrol Allen, F1H was won by
junior Gina Barron ahead of Bob Sifleet, F1G was won by Yuda Avla, just four
Seconds ahead of Tom Vaccaro, B-30 was won by Tom Juell, ahead of Bill Buss and
Don Rousseau, with junior fliers Rebecca Avla and Joel Yori not far behind,
and another new to our flying scene, Tony Loomis did fine in catapult
posting a nice individual flight of 74 seconds on his way to second place.  The
full results are recorded below.

Thermals,
Andrew Barron, on behalf of CDs Alan Abriss and Dave Acton
