I have been ask to chair the NFFS Model of the Year committee again, so please email your nominations to me before May 15. Your nomination needs contact information for the designer ( email prefered), three view of the model, its competition record, and the reason you believe it is worthy of being a 2010 model of the year.

    Thanks,

I thought, and so does BMJR, that the 2010 model of the year is the Country Boy by Jim Clem. This is followed by Carl Goldberg’s Viking for 2011 and the FAI-A/B Geef for 2012. Am I missing something?

I believe you’re confusing the NFFS Models of the year (M-O-Y) with the One Design Contest held at the Nats. The NFFS M-O-Y are published in the annual Sympo.

Just a suggestion for Jerry Murphy. It might be a good idea to post the nominated 2010 models on this thread from time to time. Although this has not done in the past, such posting might induce people to either submit more designs (β€œmy model is definitely better than …”, or β€œthis category has nothing yet”) or comment (β€œI built/saw that model and it flies great/like-a-brick”). Getting MOY candidates early is important, since drawing up clear plans and writing the accompanying text take time and effort.
