The Ultra Hogan in NOS class. Can anyone add a few lines as to building and flying this model in todays contests….any recent ventures into this model as of today? Any comments or insights on this old favorite would be appreciated. I’m considering building this model (maybe scaling it) for a .15 engine.

    Thanks

I have several plans scaled up but not to the .15 size, my larger ones fly good but no better than the Sandy hogan 70. Tips, make extra false ribs at wing and stab areas were the angles are wide at the leading edge. Trailing edge areas make wedges to support the top planking in between angled ribs. The chutes work well, forget the pop-up tail the every one uses. Best, Guy Markham
