I have fiddled around with CHLG off & on for several years without much success. Although I occasionally get a respectable launch, they are few and far in between. I’m thinking about trying a bungee launched glider. I am planning to trim it to fly as straight as I can get it and use an auto rudder similar to those used for tow line gliders for a consistent circle. As I fly from small fields a reliable circle is a must-have. I’ll probably start off with a Flash by Dick Mathis. The wing ought to be fairly easy to carve/sand to shape and it ought to be big enough to carry any auto rudder I can construct. Any comments or suggestions?
