As many know, my son and I drag race. Well, with somewhat smaller fields, there has been a developement that is called a “buy back”. This is for people that lose first round. They can go and pay a new entry fee and go into the second round. It is basically a second chance.
So, what I am proposing is the ability to “buy back” at a contest. Please think only AMA or NFFS events, not FAI. Let’s say you do crummy but determined what your problem is. You can then re-enter that event, but your previous time is voided. It is like a do-over…
This could make more money for the contest plus give the flyer a second chance.
