    Hi, I’m cleaning up some old Baby Bee’s and was wondering about how the band aid shaped mylar/teflon reeds work with with the wire retainer clip that works with the original star shaped metal reeds.

    HI Bob,

    They will work just fine. In fact they will even allow your engine to rev much higher (if the prop load will allow it). The original reeds are the slowest of all the options out there today (although they still work OK). Good Luck!

    I agree with what Paul says, and if you drill the venturi out to 3/32 it will rev even higher. I have been using Black Widows in my nostalgia models for years. 😀
