ParticipantHere’s grandson Brandon’s finished Souper 30. we went directly from test glides in the back yard to test flights at a small local field. We had it pretty well dialed in in about 5 flights, flys great!
(I don’t like the hat, but he does!)

ParticipantLooking good. Dangerous looking trees Randy.
My Grandson Jack and I are just back from the local park a 5 minute walk away, from throwing a couple of ‘chuckies’. We missed the trees this time, but only just. Have had to in the past go back next morning after the wind has blown them out.
(I’m not allowed to wear a beanie in public, by the wifes command.
Nice and warm on the ski during our winter though when I’m out of sight.)06/15/2008 at 4:09 am #45935RANDALL RYAN

You’re so right Gossy, that’s why we went elswhere. However, that is my backyard and I have a 200′ circle there and when its dead calm I fly small rubber models out there and the occasional park flyer too.
I’m really proud of Brandon, he went through some really frustrating things with this, his second model. But he stuck with it and in the end said how much he enjoyed it. He did a top drawer job too for a first stick and tissue model.

Participantgood deal. it’ll be fun to corrupt him.
After the NATS he’ll have a good appreciation for the fine fellows that he’s hooked up with.08/20/2008 at 1:47 am #45943RANDALL RYAN
ParticipantWell, sadly, Brandon lost this model at the Nats. But some kind hearted folks impressed with his performance bought him a new kit. We’re going to built 2 this time, now that he’s really into it. He wants to try 1/2A too, so Mini-Pearls are on the winter docket.

ParticipantI was hoping that he’d pulla couple of all-nighters and fly P30 on Friday. He missed out on a great story. He looked like he was having a good time.

Well, if I hadn’t been so busy with the computer (wasn’t supposed to have been) and we’d had some builting supplies with us we probably wouold have. He is geeked on F/F though he’s enjoying some CL too. He’ll be much better prepared next year and I’m not doing anything but flying. He really deserved more form me than I could give this time, but hes a great kid and doesn’t hold it against me.
