hi friends i have made a foamtype catapult launch glider with balsawood as fuselage and this is my first time with foam.it really worked well.i have test glided it in my ground where the wind somewhat normal not high this made me see to the performance and trim it.
well as it is a lightweight model it couldnt penetrate air so it couldnt travel for a longtime.total time recorded would be around 8seconds.though this is very small time i am pretty much happy with that flying as i am a beginner and it gradually climbed and took right turn and made a circle and came again to headwind and landed gracefully.
but it didnt last longer as at the root chord the foam got bended on both sides because i catapulted with fullstrech against wind with heavy force. 😀
the leading edge damaged due to hitting at a table in my home i used cellotape to give stiffness at root chord as it was bended when i alunched against headwind 😀 [/code]
