Saw Doug recently and asked specifically if he has any of the Fox mounts,YES, he was out for a while but got some more. Highly recommended. The Fox flies my Ramrod 250 just fine with a full length cox grey 6/3.

Doug’s mounts are definitely the way to go with the Fox. It provides the lightest means of mounting, and fixes a problem with the stock backplate.

The section which fills the crankcase is slightly tapered on the stock backplate. Probably done to facilitate production. The engines often run unevenly due to a burble which attaches itself to the space between the side of the backplate and the crankcase. It acts like a leaky needle valve.

Doug’s mount eliminated the taper, and the space. Light mounting, and smooth running. 🙂
