I would like to be a born again free flight model glider builder. As a kid in the 1960s I did not get sophisticated with towing methods. So, I would like to know more about circle towing, bunting, etc. What resources are available to learn about these ideas (books, papers, etc.)?
I think I have an article from Aeromodeller by Andy Crisp regarding circle towing…..I’ll look for it over the next few days.

learing to circle tow from an article is well like learning to — better not go there.
Best to find an experienced flyer to show you the basics. Then observe flyers very carefully to start to understand various styles. For example– if the model uses less wing in’bd wash-it requires more tuggy to get it to come around the down wind leg but allows a straighter. and some think faster, launch. Model set up with more washin come around easier but require a more timed, curving pattern launch. Determine the style you like and then watch carefully, ask questions and doublicate. Many varibles, 2 vs 3 position wing wiggler, athletisim, amount of time devoted to practice etc. come into play. Good Luck, JIM
