    Hi All
I have just aquired several Stop-A-Prop engine brakes, new in packet for 1/2A, A-B and C-D engines and I would like to know the following:-

    1. Has anybody tried them and any problems encountered?
    2. Is K&W still in business? (based in Philadelphia) as I need some spare levers.

They are the white nylon one—yes???

Wrap around the front of the engine and are held with a screw/s?????

The small lever on the side to hold them ‘off the break’ was thin plastic and broke all the time,so when l used them on the Rossi F1Cs in the 70s and they broke off l simply made an aluminium one.

That’s if we are on the same tram

how are the Bourke St. trams these days???

    Hi Happy H

I thought I had lost you at the other forum 😀 Yes they are the white nylon ones and the “destructions” say DON’T over stress the lever. 😡

The Burke street trams still run quite happily and they are the new modern European styled ones, you have been away too long.

And l ain’t comin’ back either—havin’ far too much fun.

Yeah, those silly little levers are as weak as water—no, l think water is stronger.
But, the thin alum. one is easy to make and never breaks.

Still have a couple of them, somewhere—-should just about be a collectors item.

PS Sorry off topic. Just saw the pics from the ’06 flying at Springhurst.

Take a look at http://www.ctie.monash.edu.au/hargrave/tribute_clubs.html and you will see some freeflight pics from downunder.

    Hi Happy H

I had come to the same conclusion that al alloy ones would be better but I have listed them on the trash and treasure page of my website so that they may find a new home.

Yep ,I’ve seen the photos from the state champs, pity I missed it, home problems.
