We just got back from the Muncie Nats. My first was in 1965 at Willow Grove NAS.
I have to say that this one was one of the best. Not that I flew well, I didn’t. But my sons, wife and I had a wonderful time!
Thanks to those who ran this meet, especially the Lorbiecki’s for performing a thankless job with humor and efficiency!
It was also good to see old friends like Charlie Sotich, Jim Lewis and far too many to mention.
Thanks again to all and for those who couldn’t make it, hope to see you next year!

I agree with Bill, one of the best NATS I have attended in many years. Thanks to all who made it happen. Special thanks to Steve Spence for getting my F1B model out of the 50 foot pine tree. Great to see old friends and make some new ones, see you next year.

    Hi Ed

Was nice to meet you at the NATS. Thanks for the ride back after dawn unlimited flight. It was much appreciated. My chase timer got lost and thought he had lost my model. Luckily, I chased it far enough with the binoculars and saw it land and got the time. I went right to it and picked it up, and he showed up about 1/2 hour later all dejected that he had lost my model.

Did you ever get that rubber frontend mounted on anything? I have spare parts for it if you need them.

Dave, nice meeting you as well. I did mount the front end on a mulvihill model I quickly put together for the nats from an old A1 glider wing and stab, it did ok, made it to the five minute round for a 17th place finish. I really like the prop and front end. One word of advice though, do not use “loctite” on the plastic threads, it melts the plastic.
    Ed
