Well I’m the new guy on the forum! I’ve just opened up my engine box of 30 years ago that has a no. of nostalgia engines in it. Two of them, one .049 Atwood is missing the needle valve. The other is a K&B Fury .049 and I need a needle valve assembly for it. Any one out there have these that I can purchase or do you know where I can find these items? Your help will be greatly appreciated. I will be flying a ZEEK soon!

I guess none of you avid FF’s have any Idea on where to find replacement needle valves or can get the specs so I can have them made.

On Mecoa web site there is a guy Burnis Ray has alot of old engine parts.
Also there is a web site on yahoo for 1/2A engines. Meca members may be able to help. Milton DeGroodt in Cal. is a fine gent.
flymilt@comcast.com Sounds like you are a little impatient. These engines have long time been gone from the market. Its amazing how needle valves and prop gear vanish. Alot of old timers don’t use the internet and sure vast amounts of parts sit in limbo.

Thanks Dan for the info. I’ll try and contact them and see what i find out. I just finished building a 1/2A ZEEK and I am patiently waiting for the weather to brake so I can fly it. I’m not sure what my next project will be. I have a no. of 1960’s TEEDEE’s and Medillions. How can I tell if the Medallions that I have can be used for Nostalgia or not? Any ideas?

The Medallion .049 I think had slit exhaust and single bypass. I belive the open exhaust in not legal. I may be wrong. Zeek is a fine ship. I to am getting back into nostalgia and have a bunch of old engines. I will be using Holland Hornets/ Thermal Hoppers/ Fox Fai .049’s. Try .049 yahoo groups alot of neat stuff for old .049’s etc.
