ATtached is my new GEEF 250, scaled down from Dan’s 513 Sq In design. Weighs in at 7 oz, a little heavier then I wanted… to many ribs I think…

I didn’t know that you were allowed to scale down a nostalgia plan! Kewel ! Is there a formula on how to scale down a plan.

Craig, there is a formula, I’ll have to dig it out of my paperwork for you. I do most of my plan work via a CAD program and it allows you to scale things easily…

Scaling is permissible in Nostalgia Gas, Craig

That is a slit exhaust Medallion, George? If running on pacifier or other pressure am sure you’re aware that you can legally bore out the venturi and slim down the spraybar …. makes a positive difference.

It looks good. I have one with a Cox Space Hopper for power. Flies great.

Ok guys …I would like to scale down the Dixielander for a 1/2 A nostalgia ….what would be a good size wing area for this.

    Dixielander to 1/2A.
Try a linear scale of 0.83 (gives 41.4 span x 5.8 chord). I drew a plan using this ‘rule’, but have never built it.

Geef looks good. A reminder. If you scale it,you can adjust rib spacing and quantity of ribs.

Here’s a method for scaling— square of wing /square root of wing area.
    560″ wing sqrt 23.66
    270″ wing sqrt 16.43
    16.43/23.66 =.694
Copy the 560″ plan at 69.4% for a 270″ plane.

    Make the Dixielander about 250″.
