Gorgeous builds, Denny! and light!!! When and where was the “Egg Nog” published? I’ve heard of the “Nig Nog” but not “Egg Nog”.

    Thanks Robert,
The ‘Egg Nog” is a flat bottom airfoil Nig Nog. I actually use Bob Hanford’s airfoil and construction idea of making the X rib joints at the high point.
I did change the name…When I googled Nig Nog, looking for plans, I found the name to be very derogatory, so, I call all mine ‘Egg Nogs”.
I have four flights on the 300…Fly’s just like the two full size ones I have.

Denny, what is Walgreen tissue? First I’ve heard of it. Thanks, Drake

The tissue is domestic tissue I bought from Wall-greens. I try and sample all of them…Target, Meijers, Wall-Mart, ect 😀

    Denny,

Seeing your impressive brace of Egg Nogs I thought I’d get registered and post my latest (nearly finished ) Nig Nog. Mine’s still a Nig Nog because I’ve retained the original wing section. Mine is 300sq in but is electric powered (built for the British Open Electric class ). It’s somewhat heavier than yours at 320g (11.3 oz ). The basic airframe is 150g (5.3 oz ) and the hardware ( motor, prop, battery, ESC, timer etc ) 170g (6.0oz). Motor is a Turnigy D 2826-6 2200KV with a 800 mah battery.

I’m looking forward to trimming it when we get some decent weather.

SLOWORM 1/2A getting close to finished here.
Built it simply because I wanted to and to fly for fun as such.

    Nice electric ‘Nog”…I have a like new(broken in) Cox Conquest 15 not being used…I couldn’t help myself…Started an A size Egg Nog…480 to 490 squares…shooting for 15 to 17 oz.
I see on the other site you found some red caps…I have been using them from 1/4 a to D.

Very unique color scheme…You should use it on other models!

    John,
I am stuck with the color scheme! I wish I would have started with something simpler.I think I am white with red leading edges for the long haul.(and of course checkerboard somewhere.)
