I’m repairing a couple Nostalgia models covered with “plastic film ” Both are veteran flyers and have some oil residue on them…Nothing sticks when trying to patch it. What do you guys use to clean the film for this purpose??
    Thanks,

Denny Try wiping off the film covering with 91 percent rubbing alcohol using paper towels. Just spray on the alcohol and wipe off the residue, changing the paper towels as you clean. The 91 percent rubbing alcohol is 91 percent methanol and 9 percent water. If you have some straight methanol fuel without oil you could use it.

Great tip on the rubbing alcohol. I keep the bottle close even when covering with ‘fresh plastic’.
