    Greetings all:
I am building a 1/2 -A Pilfered Pearl 310 and wondered if anyone out there could tell me what the warps in the five-panel wing should be. My inclination is to leave the centre panel flat, wash-in the right intermediate panel about one-eighth inch and wash out each tip about 3/32. I am guessing the balance point should be about 80 percent. (None of this info is shown on the NFFS plan.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never built one. It sounds like you are on the right track.

I’ve never built one either but I personally wouldn’t wash-in ANY panels. I would keep all panels flat except the wing tips. Wash them out like you suggested. Start there and see if you need to wash-in any panels after a couple short test flights. Only do one correction at a time.

Thanks for the tips. Since I posted this in October, I’ve completed the wings and I did build in the warps I mentioned in the first post. That’s been pretty standard for me for many years and those warps, along with a little left and down thrust, generally make the model pretty safe. This is a geodetic wing so it’s pretty much impossible to add or remove warps after it’s built and I’m not a big fan of gluing on bits of trailing edge stock. So, we’ll see how she goes!

You have chosen a wise path. I don’t think you’ll have any problems getting it to fly.
