Anyone found an application in models, for the “Gorilla” polyurethane glue? Elmer’s version is labeled “Probond, contractors grade, ultimate adhesive”. Seems to cure to slightly flexible joint . Instructions call for dampening surfaces about a minute before application, a disadvantage, over any other model adhesive. Might be good when applying damp leading edge sheeting! Just wondering, as cyanoacrylates seem a bit on the brittle side. TIA d-d

The stuff is indeed Gorilla strong. It needs moiusture to cure. It foams up when curing, so be aware- it expands.
Since it use water to ‘kick’ off , guess what happens when you get it on your fingers and then go to the sink to wash it off! Wear gloves or don’t get it on you. You’re probably better off using epoxy for metal applications and sticking 🙂 with Titebond or Sig-Ment or CA or boogers or whatever is your regular adhesive.
Brand name doesn’t really make a difference. It all seems the same.

Dan: Thanks; Good points. Who’d want to sand out that expanded glue, at at the geodetic rib intersections of an undercambered wing! Cheers, d-d

You really don’t to sand the stuff. Its REAL tough glue. Of course, I don’t do that much sanding anyway. My brother is appalled. He flies CL stunt.
