We have added the ability for registered members to post pictures with their discussion. Below are some guidelines and examples of how to best use this great new feature.
    Some guidelines:
    1. Members are limited to three pictures per post. Please pick your images well so that you can show what you intend to with a minimum number. Do not add new posts on the same topic so you can continue to upload more pictures. Abuse of this will result in your posts being deleted. Some web discussions that allow pictures to be posted seem to allow unlimited images. They appear to have unlimited storage space. We don’t.
    2. Images are limited to a file size of 100KB per images. That roughly equals a picture with the following properties:
    a. 800 x 600 pixels
    b. 72 ppi(screen resolution, sometimes referred to as dpi)
    a. Medium quality compression in a JPG file. JPGs are essentially the standard for photographjic images.
    3. As you can see in the examples the 600 x 800 (hxw) image of Jim Kepler is a little too large as far as how it fits in the layout of the Forum.
    4. For members who may have their own business this feature may not be used for promoting products.

Members who abuse the use of this new feature will be wound up with no blast tube, eliminated and banned from future use.

My recommendation is to post images between 500 and 600 pixels wide for most purposes. Use large ones for construction details and such things.
I hope you enjoy this new feature and are able to make great use of it. If you have any questions feel free.

Would it be possible to include .pdf-files to the allowable formats? Drawings can easily be converted into this format and do not lead to large file sizes, while using a picture format requires more conversions (at least if you use AutoCAD).

I’m not sure. I’ll see what I can do with it.
