Some may have wondered if I knew how to build anymore.
In that light, weighing in ~ 11grams…I present Red Mo 12-5P!
It is a five panel version of the Red Mo 12 I have been flying since ’06.
It was winner of BTV Fun Fly at the last two NATS, btw.
Tmat and Gene Ulm have been exercizing their PC keyboards, saying
their 12″ CLGs are going to clean up when we meet for
the Big Challenge Shootout during ‘The IKE’ week, Feb ’09 at Lost Hills.
Trimming will begin this weekend, weather permitting.
FYI, the pix can be seen at: http://www.smallflyingarts.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1230350902/0#0

Now, back to the building board…I have two more larger CLGs to complete.

    Ciao,
    Leeper

    Lee,
Any chance you will post plans for the new 5p or one of the larger CLG’s…? I’m thinking of building one quick for an upcoming Winter contest here in the frozen North… Although trimming during these events is generally quite painful :(, it would be fun to build one of these…!!

    Hi Chuck,
I think I have posted Red Mo 12[the original 4 panel wing version]
and Swee’Cat 18 and Bat Cat 18, but I might as well do so again,
as it saves you traipsing thru endless archives! ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ™‚
FYI, The newer Swee’Cat 18s use much of the same configuration &
construction techniques as Bat Cat has.

Will post Swee’Cat separately…if you have NFFS Digests, it was published
there, about Jan ’01 issue, and Bat Cat later on.

Just a final note of closure for Red Mo 12-5P.
I finally got it flying well after much effort since its Dec ’08 build.
Mind you, it was not as good as Red Mo 12 [four panel orig version].

Red Mo 12-5P found its final resting place 10-29-09 in the west
girder section of Tustin Blimp Hanger.
    R.I.P. [pieces].

    Ciao,
    Leeper
