The RJK FF Follies is scheduled for Audust 25, 26 and 27
At Muncie for 2017. ( waiting final OK from AMA) the flyer
For this year is still on the contest calendar. Next
year’s events will be much the same with the following
changes:
1. 1 will add Early 1/2 A Nostalgia.
2. The one-design event will be Witch Hawk 500/Zingo.
3. I will add some FAC events for Sat and Sun.
jet Cat, Embryo, half Wake, Jimmy Allen, OT Rubber,
And Dime Scale.
4. Finally, an event called the Starduster Open. Here are
The rules:
You can fly any of the recognized kitted StArdusters.
That is, the original 1/2 A, the X, the 350, 600 or 900.
Minor changes allowed in construction, but no changes to
planform, moments, foils etc…
You can use any engine including electric.
Motor run follow NosGas, that is 9-9-9-6-6-5-5 etc…
I will go in the attic and root around in the trophy
Boxes for a suitable ‘pot’ to make into a perpetual
trophy.

I’ve never been to this event before, but I was just looking at the 2016 schedule and it has everything I like to fly — OT power, nostalgia, classic, so I’m going to put it on my calendar! I might even get a Starduster 900 built and it will give me another opportunity to fly my Witchawk. I have an airplane for vintage FAI too. Yahoo!
SimonI meant to add that NFFS has plans for all the StArdusters and
Bob Holman has short kits for all versions as well.So no excuses
