Time to make new sanding blocks. I have always used 3-M garnet paper. There might be some brands and types that are better. Looking for long lasting grit, and resist loading up.

Any suggestions? Brands, product name, and source?

    Thanques

    Dean,
We think ‘3M Sandblaster’ and Norton’s pro sandpapers are better & longer lasting than garnet paper.
Most hardware stores and Home Depot carry one or the other brands.
We use hard scrap balsa blocks bandsawed and sanded flat to glue our sandpaper to.
Why? Because balsa give better tactility than hardwood or aluminum channel base materials.

Yeah…and you can feel the wood better with it as well. 🙂
