I can’t believe it but its been, should I say it??? 7 years since I built a Free Flight! Astounding, to me anyway. I’ve had a few false starts but here’s my Frank Heeb Wren almost ready to cover. After a burnout in ’99, running the Nats in 2001 and losing freind Joe Macay, I’m finally wanting to hit the field again. I’ve been flying CL stunt and a little Vintage RC, but my FF blood is warming up again and Lord willing, I’m going to the Nats this year!

    Randy,

How about posting some of your gorgeous engine projects! Don’t know if the FF guys have seen them?!

    Great looking bones, Randy.

    Hopefully, see you at Muncie.

BTW, I am interested in learning more about your Christian Modeler’s group.

Nice ‘bones’ Randy – and you’re going to love this airplane – a viceless performer that’s a joy to fly.

My present one is the third I’ve built; they’re only good for Commercial Rubber or FAC OT .. but good.. they are!

    Enjoy!

S.e. Michigan .. hmmm we have a Commercial Rubber event as part of the 3-day Great Grape Gathering at Geneseo Sept 21-23; that event’s on the 23rd.

    Hi Jim,

This is my second Wren, lost the first in FLA at KOI in 2000, first flight so I didn’t even place. I love this design, light and as you say, “viceless.

I’d like to get over the Geneseo, I’ve been watching it for years but my travel tim eand plans always seem to precclude that trip, maybe soon.

    Thanks for the nice words!
