Here’s some more food for thought.
The Squirrel design is becoming very well adopted as a workshop airplane and is eating up some of the AMA Cub applications.
I feel it’s a simpler design that flies better.
I find that when sharing with my friends, I get a much higher rate of adoption of model aviation with the Squirrel than the AMA Cub. I think it’s because of it’s simplicity.
I can build one in 9 minutes. (The AMA Cub takes like 2h).
I have a video of the Squirrel being built in 9 minutes. I’d be curious if anyone could do better.
