I have an old Cox .020 with a good glow plug; need some help getting her started. I have a small charger pack consisting of 2 AA alkalines which shows to be generating only 2v with 2 batteries together (even new ones wouldn’t be more than 3v).

I know that 9v would be bad, 12v, etc., but will 2-3v really be an issue burning out Cox glow plugs? Will it shorten the life of the plugs much if I regularly use 2-3v..??

    It’ll burn them up!
1 1/2 volts is what’s in order. You might get away with 2 volts but not 3.
Two 1 1/2v D celss in parallel sould work.
