On older models like the Cassno..is it reccommended to off set or toe in the fins.

On anything,. old or new, I just set ’em up straight without any offsets or toe-in

I always toe-in double fins. And make single ones fat or thick.
Make the fin flat on the outside and airfoil shape on the inside, then set the front a fraction in toward the fuselage center.

I am convinced it works on high power engine models under climb, so must work to some extent on a slower rubber model

I’ve always thought that twin-fin rubber models ‘groove’ better in the climb but could not substantiate it in any meaningful manner. However I just use thin sheet fins set straight.

Agree about single fins … better fatter than finner ….
