Kit arrived and quite different from other FF designs. No pylon, rudder set way off to one side on stab. Extreme downthrust. Plans show Holland Hornet/TD .049/ Space Hopper. I have all three. Plans show VTO/regular/ and ROW. Very interesting model. 50″ wing and 390 sq.’s.

Only a few small changes needed.

Move the fin to the center of the stab.

Mount the wing on a pylon.

    Take out the downthrust.

Use a Tee Dee .09 for the engine.

    Stand back. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Put your other engines on a Satellite.

    Thanks Dean,
Just happen to have a TD .09. Apache seemed big for a 1/2A engine. I ordered a FAI Fox .049 to see what it can do. Galbreath doesn’t have the mount anymore. I have a parts lot coming of Holland Hornets. Need a couple of piston and liners for a .049 and .51. Maybe exchange for cases and other parts. I know a long shot but maybe someone needs what I have for them.
Awhile back you said you had an artical on D/T stab arrangement for Fubar drop down stab. Any chance of getting it??

This was in November 2004 Free Flight Digest. It was by Bob Stalick, and worked fairly well. I modified mine with a single dowel sticking out the tail end of the fuselage for all the rubber bands that hooked on the bottom ofthe stab to engage. The forward hooks Bob used caused the stab platform to accordion together. πŸ™‚
