Vintage Towline Glider Event

With Vintage FAI power event by Ghio and others, there was also a Vintage Towline Glider event in the works.

Has anyone been interested in this? What are the rules?

I was out flying yesterday on a beautiful morning, and flew 4 of my vintage A-2 models. 3 other classic models in the picture.

Hugh Langevins Osprey still does 2:50 in still air. Osprey on far left in picture. My A-2 classic towline model just keeps up to it. All times on 164′ of line with launch at that altitude, just straight tow.

Didn’t the SAM Champs have Nostalgia towline once or twice when out West ?? NFFS keeps a list of towline gliders 1950 – 1956. Think that would be fun — and an excuse to dust off an old glider or build a new one
