    Hi,
I have two different plans for the Ed Miller “Texan” and want to confirm that one or both are Nostalgia Legal. The first plan is the “Texan A-B”. It says on the plans “Drawn Especially For John Pond”. The second plan is the “FAI Texan”. Both plans lack information about wing area and date.
Thank in advance for the help.
    Thermals,

    Hi Dan

If memory serves me correctly the A-B Texan is the legal one. The original design had a built up wing with a main spar while the FAI Texan had an all top sheeted wing (used at the 1960 W/Champs). No doubt others will jump in here with the right info.

If memory serves me correctly, the plane that was published in Model Airplane News in the early 1960’s is not the legal one… The legal one was a design from the mid 50’s. The FAI version is not legal for NOS either

Both plans are lacking a title block and don’t have any information other than stated in the orginal post. I don’t remember where I purchased the plans, most likely from the NFFS plans service or perhaps the AMA. How would one tell the difference between the legal plan and any other plans?
I would like to build the model from my plans, if it is the legal version, before they fall apart.

Pond listed the A-B as 1952 so that seems the likely one
