    Well, I see my good friend Willard made the front page. Willard is a great flyer and has competed in all the events. I remember him and his wife flying Power, wakefield, and nordic all in 1 1/2 hour rounds, on the same day. I always considered myself lucky to beat him. He always wanted to make the team in Nordic but only made the team in wake….My kid John visited him when he was in Arizona. They even went to Eloy for a contest. John had a good time with him. Got to see him again this summer at the NATS. Even conned him into helping run an event….Great guy!!!

    You guys hang around rubber/glider flyers? When Willard flew at some Inter-Cities meets in Canada he was always a tough adversary. Nice, straight, well-built models. I agree, a good guy!
