I won a kit from ebay. I believe the seller use to work for Sig and heard he is a good guy. Anyway any info on this. Class/ engine selection etc. I don’t know why but every once in awhile I come into a good deal on a Berkley kit. I have a good old Enya .09/ Max .15 111/K&B .19 GH/Elfin .09. Cheers,Dan

I also saw that kit on Ebay. I didn’t bid on it , but exchanged some email with Mike Gretz as a result.
I built one of those kits back in the 50’s. It is meant to be used as an International class PAA Load model. Had to carry an 8 oz dummy and if I recall, an additional 8oz cargo. All this on a .15 size motor. I used a Greenhead .15. Flew the model at the Philly Nat’s and folded the wing on the first flight on a very windy day. This is a legal Nostalgia design, but I don’t see much use for it unless somebody comes up with an AB Nostalgia PAA Load event for you to fly it in. BTW, talking of PAA Load – I will be sponsoring a 1/2A PAA Load event at the 2006 Nat’s…

I had a feeling why nobody was interested in kit. I just wanted something other than a 1/2A ship for the fun of it. Thanks for reply, Dan

The Nostalgia 1/2A PAA Load event is set for Tuesday at the Nat’s. It should appear on the Nat’s schedule and entry forms etc…just as the other NFFS events. I expect to have a blurb in the NFFS Digest shortly with more details. I also have some listings of eligible designs and some copies of old mag plans (not full size) and articles if you are interested. I have also been in contact with Jim O’reilly and I believe that he and Bob Holman will be doing a short kit of Joe Bilgri’s PAA Hopper design. This is one of the more popular NosGas PAA designs.

    rudy,
I was able to get a copy of the priginal Bilgri plans and built one this summer. Also had mucho help from the guys in NZ who say PAA load is almost a ‘Hopper one design event at their nationals. They were very helpful with info and building articles etc. If anyone is interested I can share out the info. Not sure whether some of the mods suggested would be NOS legal.
    Cheers!, Pete
