In awarding scholarships, the Scholarship Committee considers the applicants’ involvement and achievements in free flight model aviation, academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, and other achievements.

To initiate the scholarship application process one or more active members of the National Free Flight Society must sponsor an applicant. Scholarships may be used only for post-secondary school educational programs, which may include either college/university or technical training.
