In 1978, the National Free Flight Society established the Hall of Fame for excellence in Free Flight activities. The initial concept and impetus came from George Perryman, Tony Italiano, and Bob Dodds. The National Free Flight Society Hall of Fame, identifies and honors the special individuals whose life and work has been formative and had lasting impact for free flight model aviation.
Annual nominations from the free flight community are reviewed, and honorees selected, by a specially appointed committee.
