THE NFFS PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: January 2010

Happy holidays are in order to all of you. That December always gets here before we know it. Tis time to enjoy the indelible memories of 09 and look forward to an exciting 2K10. Here are three gentlemen who will lead our forces into three premiere battles:

Sergio Montes will be the Editor of the 43rd Symposium.

Charles Jones will be the Contest Director of the Outdoor NATS in Muncie.

Carl Bakay is Contest Director for the Indoor NATS in Johnson City.

I strongly suggest that you volunteer to help these individuals with these most important projects.

The “Keep the Dream Alive” program has shown far less response than I had hoped for. I still think it will happen. Think of it this way, every dollar you send will come back to you through a better and stronger National Free Flight Society.

A couple of provisional events will be offered at this year’s Outdoor NATS. Rubber ROW and Vintage FAI will be on the schedule. Contest Director Charles Jones will have more on the Outdoor NATS in the opening issue of the 2010 Digest.

A special thank you this month to Bob Mattes who does a fantastic job with the National Cup Program.

Again, happy Holidays and see you next year.

Phil Sullivan
