Start of the Free Flight Season in Wawayanda, NY

Dear Free Flight Friends,

The start of the flying season at Barron, organized by the Brooklyn Skyscrapers, starts this Sunday April 13, with monthly meets every second Sunday of the month. The field is in good shape and ready for your flying starting this Sunday. So come fly this weekend. Then the two big meets of the year hosted by the Skyscrapers are the Bob Hatschek Memorial International Challenge May 31-June 1 and then the Annual June 21-22. These two are America’s Cup and National Cup meets. See the schedule at www.brooklynskyscrapers.org/calender.html

The work day (field mantenance) will be next Saturday April 19 from 10am-12noon. This is placed Saturday between Passover/GoodFriday and Easter Sunday. We only need to construct two large bridges, one 16 foot bridge and one 20 foot bridge, and then put them in place. So bring your power drill, screw drill bit, and some screws. Maybe also a saw. Also let me know if you are bringing a pick-up truct. It won’t take to long, so feel free to bring a plane to practice with too.

Thermals,
Andrew Barron
