Scandinavian Update

Some news about the Scandinavian Free Flight Week this summer. We got permission to use the field in Rinkaby again, so please help me spread the word about this. So all three contest will be flown there, Swedish Cup, Danish Cup and Norwegian Cup. We will not organize any Small Swedish Cup this year, but we include the class F1S in all three contests instead. My personal opinion about FAI Free Flight World Cup Rules 2019 – Points Allocation – Part III (Conclusion)
I am sorry for bothering. Since the subject is important, I am trying to share my analysis. Let us look at the following table and distribution of points including bonus.

My concerns:
1- ) For Contest-1 with 80 participants (for example Eurofly), there is not any significant difference in the distribution of points between the competitors (For example second is earning 566 points and sixth is earning 512 points). Therefore, there is not any value of being first, second, third in a big contest.
2- ) Competitors in the top five of Contest-1 are earning more points than the winner of Contest-2. Competitors in the top nine of Contest-1 are earning more points than the second of Contest-2. Of course, Contest-1 is bigger. However, contest is contest.
Contest with 20 participants is not an easy contest and it is not easy to win. It must be worth winning a competition.

Previous examples I have reported were more fatal cases.

My conclusion:
If I am not interpreting the new rules incorrectly or I am not making mistake in my calculations, the new rules have a high potential risk to produce inconsistent results. I did not understand the idea behind the new rules. Maybe, Free Flight Subcommittee should review the rules and return to the rules of 2018.
