Workday and flying season start at Barron Field

From: Andrew Barron

Dear Free flight friends,
It is a pleasure to keep you posted about activity at our field in
Wawayanda, New York.   As you can see at
http://www.brooklynskyscrapers.org/calender.html or at FreeFlight.org the
contest season is getting started for many of us.  In addition to smaller
monthly gatherings our first meet to which the broader freeflight community
is invited is the Hatschek International Challenge on May 21-22, with
events posted at the above link.

But first, for those in the northeast for which this field is one of your
main sites, we welcome you to a workday next Sunday morning May 1, starting
at 9:30am. We will be building and placing bridges across the main ditch.
Let me know if you plan to come.  Please bring any battery powered drills,
bits, and saws you may have.  Some rope would also be handy.

Thermals,
Andrew

SEN stuff

Question 1 – are you still alive we have not seen much on SEN for a while

SEN:  yes we are alive and even doing some flying.  What with covid still hanging around a bit and the war in Ukraine not so much going on these days or maybe  we are not getting so much mail from you.  But we and the other SEN readers would like to hear about your Free Flight stuff.

Question 2 – Did you put the wrong SEN on a issue or two ago

SEN: Yes we do that from time to time to see if people still read SEN. Thanks for letting us know.

Question 3– Will F!C World Cup events be flown in October in the USA, from reader on OZ

SEN:  Yes both the Kotuku and Sierra Cups flown over 4 – 10  October  at Lost Hills will have the full complement of F1 World Cup events.  And for those in OZ wanting comfort equivalent West Wyalong ( even better because you can rent a Golf Cart) The US Nationals is a World Cup event at Muncie on 25-29 July and will have F1C too.
