This is our post-Nats contest. The corn was a solid wall along the north-south road along the field’s west side. We had a successful corn retrieval for a model flown by Ben Schultz on Saturday without a transmitter after the contest on Sunday. Kudos to Yuda Avla and Maria Noldy.
Saturday was very calm and we flew from the main east-west road and later from the south cross road. It was nice to have Alan Petersen from Arizona participate, although he used a weak motor in the first flight that came up short. John Clapp was loaned a P30 by Bill Buss.
Sunday was completely different, with a steadily increasing wind from the south along the field. The air was turbulent after passing a forest and a large corn field and the main concern was not to drift into the corn on the west side. The first flight had a 2:30 max, then dropped to 2:00. Andrew dropped his last flight to be passed by Peter. Being the only B flier I DTed early to shorten the retrievals. Dave Rounsaville, who had a class reunion on Saturday, drove up and put up a P flight on Sunday.

The Brooklyn Skyscrapers will hold the Lacey-Kerr Memorial contest on November 5-6 at Wawaywanda NY.
The format will be the same as the Harvest Classic.
