Dates

July 8 to 11

Location

Brno, Czech Republic

information

Precontest informations were good and arrived in time

Accommodation

The teams were accommodated in a student hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast and dinners were provided at the student restaurant, as well as banquet and closing ceremony. Participants could buy food at contest site or in local restaurants at a close distance from hall.

Competition

Hall B of BRNO Trade Fair Center is 36m x 108 m and 20 m high with a flat ceiling. This hall is quite .perfect with overcast weather. Unfortunately sunlight is coming in through large windows under the ceiling, which makes strong turbulence in case of sunny weather. Nevertheless scores were sometimes exceptionally good, with 2 flights over 40 minutes and several over 35. It must be noted that most of the competitors were using variable pitch propellers. The only ones who used classical props did not fly more than 25 minutes

Participation

27 competitors from 9 countries were participating. 4 juniors (3 from Poland) were also competing in this Championship.

Protests

There is no protest.

Conclusion

The organisers did a great job , particularly Jiri KALINA who was also competing for the Czech team. The Jury members agree to congratulate the organisers for a very successful Championship.
