The Junior W. Ch. were well supported, although some teams were absent: F1A 36 competitors, F1B 27 competitors, and F1C 14 competitors.

This was to a good standard in 2-bedded rooms in the Irpen rehabilitation centre and Tchaika hotel. Transport to the field in buses was not always satisfactory, inadequate information caused delays and misunderstandings. At Irpen, breakfast and dinner were served in a restaurant of good standard, in Tchaika a buffet breakfast and dinner were provided. Lunch was served in the field. The food was good and ample, but somewhat monotonous.

• The CIAM in 1994 decided to require all helpers in Junior events also to be juniors, with immediate effect. Unfortunately the minutes of the Plenary meeting reached some Aeroclubs very late. On request, the Jury therefore proposed to waive this ruling for these championships. This was accepted by all teams.
• Processing was efficiently done except for checking of ICAO national markings. This seems to be an ever reoccurring problem: Competitors do not mark their models properly, and organisers neglect to check this item, although it is the first thing they schould do with every model presented for processing.
• Field organisation was very efficiently run. The starting line worked well rounds were kept strictly to schedule. The standard of timekeeping was good, no complaints were heard.
• There were flyoffs in all three categories. The standard of flying in F1A F1B was a credit to the juniors, but in F1C it was not quite satisfactory. Many competitors had problems handling the power and adjusting their models. Remedies discussed in the jury focused on a higher age limit for juniors and/or rules to simplify the models.
