Dates

Location

Zrenjanin, Yugoslavia

Accommodation

It was good but some arguments about prices arose. Food was adequate and plentiful.

Flying site

The grass field was big, some 2 x 8 kin, and good for FIA and FiB, but problems arose in FiC because of the wind, very long flights and difficult retrieving conditions.

Weather

The weather was good to excellent except some heavy rain on FlA day.

Competition

Standard of flying This was tremendous, several fly-off rounds in all classes.
The Jury especially wants to point out FiC where still air performances better 8 minutes. This is way past any field capacity even in moderate wind. We urge the FF Sub-Committee to take action to restrict performances in this class.

Prize-giving and banquet

Prizegiving was very impressive in the local sports stadium.

Banquet very enjoyable in outdoor restaurant, followed the next day by sightseeing in Belgrade.

Protests

There were no official protests.

Observations

This was a well organised Championship. The participants did not experience any serious adverse effects due to the politically instable situation, which later developed into a civil war. Only one of the teams entered did not arrive in Zrenjanin.

Conclusion

A successful Championship in all respects. Our utmost thanks to the organisers.
