a word from Pierre
The NORTH WEST FAI CHALLENGE is passé but we do have good memories of the camaraderie and the good weather that we ad during the 3 days of competition .Monster thermos with about a 3 to 5 meter drift and mid 80 to low 90 made the chase a bit challenging but by Sunday the field on the south was rolled flat, but power line across it was a bit of a problem .No burn out air planes we where lucky
So be ready for next year .Blake Jensen is taking it over and I hope you will support him .Thank you for all of you guys for your support It has been fun

Looking for a ‘retired’ F1A
Plea to all good, and Human modellers.
“Is there anyone who has an old model F1A for giving as a gift, mechanical or electronic, I will be grateful. Since I am unemployed, and I have a great desire to continue competing and to hang with the big competitors in the category F1A.”

Aug 2014 AmCup Report
22 of 36 contests results are in. We have another great competition shaping up for the fall-winter contests. There are 2 ties at this time. I granted an extension to the 60 day time limit to break the tie for the Denver F1B contest between Jace Pivonka and Blake Jensen. The AMA website published F1A results from the NATs are incorrect. The CD, Aram Schlosberg, has provide the the top 4 and is researching the 5th place.
Starting with F1A, Jama Danier is in 1st having two 30 point wins and the ability to improve his other two scores. Garrett Tremayne (jr!) in 6th also has two 30 point contests and so is positioned to place high this year. Several other flyers have a shot making for another exciting glider competition.
Walt Ghio looks to have enough point to win F1B this year but Martin Schroedter has two 30 point contests and Blake Jensen has a 30 point and a 29 points and so could make a challenge.
No clear dominance in F1C. Due to lower participation, there are fewer bonus point contests. We’ll see if the top guys are willing to travel to other fields in order to challenge Faust Parker’s 1st place position.
F1P also has no bonus points this far and so like last year the winner will go to the flyer with the most wins. Bob Handford currently in first with four 25 point wins and will be chased by Taron Malkhasyan.
In F1G, Tiffany O”Dell has a winning score but Blake could catch her as well as Tony Mathews.
In F1H there are only 2 contests with bonus points, Bob Siffeet has the NATs win with 2 bonus point and so has a good shot at over taking first place Mike McKeever.
Faust Parker has the only bonus point win in F1J and I suspect his 1st place score will hold.
Bernie Crowe (1st) and Matt Gewain (2nd) have bonus points and so will have a close race to the end in F1Q.
Looks like there be only three F1E contests this year. I’ have not received the Denver scores yet. Guess who’s in 1st? Peter Brocks is always a good guess.
Thanks to the my checkers– if you wish to get a preliminary ciopy of the scores in Excel format, drop me an email. Send corrections to N89015
