Now Where are they ?

From:Peter Becker
Thanks,
Joined NAA and got Sportsman License. USA 12203
So that’s done.
Where do I find a list of other flyers in my area (Seattle North and West?

The Next steps?

Peter
The USA 12203 is you AMA number, if you applied for a FAI Sporting license because you want to take part in a World Cup event, you need follow the steps that Peter Brocks outlines in the previous SEN.  This explains how you can go to the FAI web site and get a copy of you FAI Sporting license that has on it the all important FAI ID. This is needed for participation in the World Cup and is the number that has to be on the wings as referenced in the Sporting Code.

Why the NAA does not give it to you automatically, I do not know but Peter Brocks must have had to figure this out so he is passing this useful piece of “tribal knowledge” for the Sportsmen in the USA. The process in other countries may differ but every FAI License holder world wide  can go the FAI system to get their information.

About the second question on where is the list of people in my area, I do not think that such a  list exists and you probably need to zero in on the classes or events you are particularly interested in.  The best way would be to get in touch with them through the clubs.   A good source of information about active clubs is the contest calendars..  The NFFS publishes a calendar of events their web site  at www.freeflight.org, this has addresses and contact information of events and is a good indication of active organizations.

The only time we publish people’s contact information, including email address is when that is included in a contest announcement or some form advertisement where the reader needs to contact the poster.
There may be a reader who would contact information for active sportsmen in the Pacific North West
