Good practices in Q

By Aram Schlosberg
.
In Q we rarely check anything. But some might doubt whether everyone else is strictly kosher (following the rules).
.
It is suggested that the model’s weight in grams be posted clearly on the model’s pod left side.
.
Before a model’s first flight and definitely in a flyoff, that the flyer display the budgeted energy of the energy limiter to the timer(s) before arming the model.
.
That in a case a flyer is given an overrun, or there is a question about the amount of energy used, that the model be returned without disconnecting its battery, so that the timer(s) could read the motor run and energy used off its energy limiter.
.
I also advocate that post flight verifications be performed on all podium positions.
.
Maybe these practices will avert the 1000 joule curse. ////
